Shane
Shane is the welcoming committee at A Farm for Annie! He is gentle and kind and loves to make friends with anyone he meets: children, dogs, mini-donkeys, chickens. . . he loves everyone!
Shane is a twenty-seven-year-old quarter horse paint gelding. He is a longtime member of A Farm for Annie's herd. He was originally a show-jumper for children before suffering a sacroiliac (SI) injury that ended his jumping career.
Shane's Care
Shane experiences tender-footedness, struggles with body pain from an old SI injury, and has arthritis. He receives specialty hoof trims, wears special boots to protect his soles, and receives Adequan injections to treat his arthritis.
